On 25 September 2015 , SELP, the company acquired by MARTEK and the main managers in 2013 pursues its strategic development through three major transactions :
1- The acquisition of the Oberthur Scratch Cards factory in Puy Guillaume ,
2- The acquisition of industrial and technologic assets of SAETIC in Spain ,
3- The launch of a new factory in Mumbai, India , specialized in contact & contactless cards dedicated to the banking and identity markets.
A new life for the plant of Oberthur in Puy Guillaume,
SELP management team welcomes the agreement it has been negotiating with the local autorities to restart the plant of Oberthur Scratch Cards in Puy Guillaume (Puy de Dome). The plant was closed in June 2015 due to the refocusing of Oberthur Technologies activities in Vitre. The plant employed more than 90 people and was mainly manufacturing scratch cards on 5000 sqm with a high specialization. SELP now wants to take advantage of this highly secured plant to pursue its deployment on the global market for secure cards (banking cards and identity cards) and prepaid card. This operation allows SELP to increase its industrial capacity in secure printing cards and gives the company a real technological know-how (Software and Middleware). Stéphane Guilbault, CEO of SELP, plans to capitalize on these different expertise for the development of full solutions in the "banking" and "identity" fields. The plant should restart in October 2015 with fifteen employees and with the installation of additional industrial equipment resulting from the purchase of the assets of SAETIC.
Acquisition of industrial and technological assets of SAETIC in Spain,
SELP announced it has completed the acquisition of the assets of SAETIC, one of the first Spanish manufacturers of payment cards in banking and public transport. Due to a strong slow down of its activities, SAETIC was moved under judicial protection (chapter 11) in January 2015. As part of the sale of its assets, SELP has taken all industrial equipment and IT and R & D team. Thanks to this operation, SELP is now able to operating systems (OS), enabling it to complete its technological bricks and offer full solutions for secure cards to the "Banking" and "Transportation" markets.
Launch of a new factory in Mumbai, India

In order to face the international business growth on these 4 segments (Identitaire, Banking, Prepaid, Loyalty), SELP also announces the launch of its new manufacturing site based in Mumbai. This plant, organised on more than 4000 sqm, represents a significant investment over the first semeter. It will enable SELP to expand its banking and loyalty activities on the Indian market .
